How do I analyze my portfolio's performance?

The Performance page is a powerful tool for understanding your investment success and areas for improvement.

What can you do on this page?

Analyze your portfolio’s returns on the Performance Page. Navigate to the Performance tab in the left menu.

At the top of the page, you'll see three key metrics:

  • Profit/Loss: Your total gains or losses in USD

  • Total Capital Invested: The total amount you've invested

  • Simple Returns: Your percentage return on investment

The main chart displays your portfolio's performance over time:

  • Blue line: Total Value of your portfolio

  • Green line: Total Capital Invested

  • Green/red bars: Profit/Loss for each period

You can also interact with the cart to visualize your performance better:

  • Hover over any point on the chart to see detailed values for that date.

  • Click and drag on the chart to zoom in on a specific time period.

  • Use the "Reset Zoom" button to return to the full view.

Below the chart, you'll find a table listing all your assets with details such as:

  • Asset name and ticker symbol

  • Quantity held

  • Profit/Loss in USD and percentage

  • Total Value

You can also hide / show specific columns by using the table header filters.

Customizing your performance view

  • Use the date range selector in the top right to adjust the time period shown.

  • Click on "Filters" to refine your view by Asset Class, Account, Currency, or Tag.

  • Switch between "Profit/Loss" and "Cumulative" views using the toggle above the chart.

Using the calendar feature:

  • Click on the calendar icon to open a date picker.

  • Select specific dates to view performance for precise time periods.

Analyzing individual assets

  • Click on any asset in the table below the chart for a detailed performance breakdown.

  • This will show you how that specific asset has performed over time.

Understanding color coding

  • Green numbers indicate positive returns

  • Red numbers indicate negative returns

Tips for using the Performance page

  • Regularly review this page to understand how your portfolio is performing over time.

  • Use the filters to analyze performance of specific asset classes or accounts.

  • Compare your portfolio's performance to market benchmarks (if available).

  • Look for trends or patterns in your portfolio's performance to inform future investment decisions.
